Not a Consumer Reporting Agency. This service is not a consumer reporting agency as that term is defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Neither the pages nor results supplied by a linked provider may be used for credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or another purpose regulated by the FCRA.
How Current Is the Information?
Public rolls are corrected, portal interfaces change, fees are revised, and historical collections may move or gain new scans. Coverage notes can also differ between a County guide and a vendor search screen. The reference is prepared with care, but no page is guaranteed to be complete or current. Confirm a record, cost, or access rule with the named custodian before relying on it.
Not Legal Advice
Descriptions of California records and Santa Barbara procedures are general information, not legal advice. A public-record question, dispute, privacy issue, or court matter may require advice from a licensed California attorney or direct guidance from the responsible office.
Lawful Use
Public access does not authorize harm. Do not use a name, address, court result, directory entry, or other lead from this service to stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or hurt a person. Misuse may violate California criminal law, federal law, or a court order, and it breaches the Terms of Use.
Third-Party Search Providers
Some lookup boxes are operated by outside companies. The operators of this reference do not control their returned data, pricing, availability, retention, or privacy practices. Such results are not FCRA-compliant consumer reports and should be checked with the official custodian.
External Resources
Links lead to Santa Barbara County property, recorder, election, and vital services; City maps, permit, and request systems; Superior Court portals; California searches; libraries; and archives. An external operator controls the linked page and may change or remove it. Santa Barbara Residents Directory is not responsible for its content, accuracy, or availability.
No Government Records Hosted Here
This service does not store the County's deed index, a City permit file, a court case, a vital certificate, or a library directory volume. It points toward the office or collection that holds the source. A copy, certification, correction, or access decision must come from that custodian.
